JENNIFER KANDRICK
Pottery
Art has always played a vital role in my life. My journey into pottery began in high school and after raising a family, I finally pursued it wholeheartedly in 2017 and have been a full-time potter since 2019.
My designs are influenced by my love of nature, flowers, animals and European heritage heirlooms that have been handed down from my family. I have also been deeply influenced by the Colonial and Native American history I cherished growing up in Chester County outside of Philadelphia, PA.
My pottery consists of functional and decorative forms. I use 3 types of stoneware and porcelain. I hand throw each piece on a wheel and hand decorate with a technique called slip trailing. I pour my passion and creativity into each piece I make, reflecting heritage and the elegance of nature. My aspiration is to make pieces that are beautifully useful, to enrich daily life and resonate with the soul.
