Trina Estrada-Good (she/her/hers) is a self-taught, practicing multidisciplinary artist and community organizer and advocate based in Alexandria, Virginia. Estrada-Good's work is a form of storytelling; intuitive, experimental, and a fluid, personal journey of exploration and expression.

Much of my work is an exploration of memory, texture, and the enduring beauty of my homeland. Within pieces, I endeavor to translate the vivid, sometimes fractured, recollections of my childhood in Afghanistan into a tactile and visual language.

Central to my practice is a love of experimentation. I am drawn to the interplay of different mediums and techniques, allowing the materials themselves to guide the narrative. Layers of paint, impasto, and various found elements are built up and stripped away, creating a rich tapestry of surfaces. This experimentation with texture is not merely a stylistic choice; it is a means of evoking the depth and intricate details of recollections that have stayed with me.

Finding time to express these visions is an act of reconnection and celebration. The canvas is a dialogue between the past and the present, a testament to the power of memory to shape perception and inspire creation.
